- An 11-book mystery series (four of which have been finalists for a Lambda Literary Award), a western/romance/adventure/mystery, with three more books in the pipeling, including a second mystery series...all of which keep me rather busy.
I'm constantly looking for ways to attract new readers and feel I have a unique approach to the genre: my protagonists are gay and the storis are set largely within the gay community, but the themes are universal, and the fact that I have a growing readership among mainstream mystery buffs willing to explore a slightly different world than their own verifys my belief that a good story well told is far more important to readers than who sleeps with whom.

Video Book Trailers
A few questions on what I personally consider one of the potentially most powerful promotional and sales tools available to mystery authors: video book trailers.:
1) How many of you utilize video book trailers now?
2) How many plan to do so?
3) What do you look for in a book trailer?
4) Have you ever been, or can you imagine ever being, persuaded by a video book trailer to actually buy the book?
