I'm a wife, mother, business owner, boy scout leader, zoo docent and oh, yes, I write murder mysteries.
I've been writing since my college days, even after the nun teaching the creative writing class suggested I find a good paying day job!
My mornings (5 a.m.) are my writing time. I make the coffee, say a quick prayer and write for two hours until I stop to do 15 minutes of housework (I know my priorities) then get ready for work.
More like several favorite authors. Anne Perry for the richness of her words and stories. Nancy Pickard, Dorothy Cannell for their humor sprinkled perfectly on wonderful stories. Michael Allen Dymmoch for her intensity and integrity. Carolyn Hart for her stylish whodunnits and for "Letter from Home" which gripped me from page one. Barbara D'Amato for her intricate plots and finely tuned characters. And a host of others like Libby Fischer Hellmann, Willan Kent Krueger, Tasha Alexander for historical intrigue, Sharyn McCrumb, Nevada Barr, Jeffrey Deaver (with the lights on) and many more.
Favorite Book:
Rather than favorite because I cannot choose only one, I'll share what I'm enjoying right now--Shane Gericke's "Cut to the Bone."
