II am an avid mystery reader. I temd to like medium boiled -hard boiled but enjoy an occasional cozy. We own about 3000 books with 60% being mysteries. The rest are theology, philosophy, history and some biography and poetry

mmm....can't pick one.= enjoyed the Pendergast series of Lincoln/Child,
Lewis Cole series by Brendan DuBois ( enjoyed some of his thrillers as well) and many others
